The beginning of this quarter was the worst I have ever experienced. I tested into third quarter Japanese and it was my first class of the quarter. I went to class to find that the class was oriented entirely around speaking in Japanese to other classmates and the professor. I can understand a fair bit of Japanese but I cannot speak it. I had to explain this to two fellow students who understood but when the professor came around and asked me something in Japanese. Well I responded "どもせいません、I can't answer." so she asked again, and I repeated my answer. Then she asked again and I resorted to English "I'm sorry I can't answer". I couldn't figure out why she kept answering because he heard me explain my situation to the other students.... well she didn't stop there, she asked me five more times..... Two days later she literally told me to drop the class. The worst part is that the only thing I couldn't do is speak. Also it was humiliating.
On the bright side a friend of mine from WoD on Saturday told me of an opening in his work. So I may be able to get a Job. Not so bright side... I may not be able to go to Philly if I get it.
